Julie Distler, PT, DPT, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland in College Park, earning a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She continued her education at MCPHS University, where she earned the title of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
Julie's clinical experience includes outpatient orthopedics and inpatient sub-acute care rehabilitation, focusing on treating strokes and traumatic brain injuries. She has worked with diverse patient populations, addressing musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary pathologies, which fostered her appreciation for inter-professional collaboration and patient advocacy.
Julie's professional interests encompass pelvic girdle and sacrococcygeal dysfunction, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation treatment techniques, exercise, and evidence-based holistic approaches to wellness. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Originally from New England, Julie enjoys exercising, reading, cinema, and exploring different cuisines.
